About Moon Doggie
Moon Doggie is an independent buying-guide site about dog crates. We help you work out which crate suits your dog and your home before you spend money.
Our guides cover wire, plastic, extra-large and car-ready crates, plus plain help with sizing, setup and cleaning.
What we cover
You'll find roundups for each kind of crate, side-by-side matchups and single-model reviews. Brands include MidWest, Amazon Basics, Petmate, Precision Pet, SportPet and Homey Pet.
We also answer the questions that come up around a new crate: how to measure a dog, what size a Lab or Golden needs, where to put the crate and what to put inside.
How we work
We read the product details, specs and maker information for each crate we cover. We also look at what buyers often say after they've used it.
Then we turn that into plain guides with clear picks, in everyday words. Our How we research page explains each step.
What we don't do
We don't sell crates or any other product, and we don't make anything ourselves.
We don't claim to have tested every crate. When we recommend something, we say why, based on its specs, its features and buyer feedback.
No brand pays us to rank its products. Moon Doggie isn't affiliated with MidWest, Petmate, Amazon Basics or any other maker.
We aren't vets or trainers. For questions about your dog's health or behavior, ask your vet or a qualified trainer.
How we earn money
Some links on this site go to stores like Amazon. If you buy through one, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you.
That never changes which products we pick. Our affiliate disclosure has the details.
